Your story is a gift your family can open whenever they need you. Sharing your story has been shown to be a very meaningful part of care. It helps bring clarity, connection, and comfort—not just for you, but for your family, too.
In addition to the “Share Your Story” event, we also offer convenient, in-home legacy video sessions that can be scheduled around your availability.

We are pleased to collaborate with local community members for comfortable, inviting spaces in which to film. Filming takes place in a setting surrounding the Des Moines metro. The exact address will be provided to all confirmed participants.
Yes. Our filming locations always take into account the various needs of our participants, including those with mobility concerns.
Participants often wonder if their story is “big enough” to matter. We remind them: it’s not about headlines; it’s often everyday moments that are most meaningful. Even a few stories or a bit of advice is more than enough; there’s no pressure to say everything.
We handle all the details and cost; you bring the memories. Our specially trained Legacy Coaches will reach out for a “pre-filming” discussion to review the logistics of what to expect and the types of topics you would like to cover.
Sessions are relaxed and guided. Our Legacy Coaches gently prompt stories so nothing feels forced during your 1-hour recording.
We find most participants choose to film on their own, so they feel more open and free to discuss what they want. However, if you would like to have a loved one present for support, we are happy to accommodate them.
Your video footage is professionally filmed and edited, with background music and select photographs (if you provide those to us in advance or on the day of your session). The result is a fully customized legacy video ready for you to watch and share within approximately 8 weeks.
